Back from the Broads

Hello everyone!
I got back from my family holiday in the Norfolk Broads this afternoon, and have had a most splendid week! Despite the weather seeming to have been pretty miserable elsewhere, we had a lot of sunshine and I was even in shorts and a strappy top on two particularly hot days. Fun and larks included going out in our boat every day, pub lunches, kayaking, and looking at all of the pretty scenery and wildlife. Last year we stayed in the same holiday cottage and we had a heron who came to our garden every day – this year there were two of them.
On Tuesday I’m off on holiday again, this time camping with John and his family in Wales. Should be fun, especially with all the photo excursions I’m sure there will be. I like being John’s little photography sidekick, taking snapshots while he composes amazingly artistic photos of wonderment.
Other than that I don’t have a huge amount of news – I performed my last concert with the Damon Singers the night before we went on holiday, and it went really well. In the rehearsal beforehand they gave me a “We’ll all miss you” card that they’d all signed, which was lovely (and made me go all red and embarrassed). It’s strange that so many important things in my life have come to an end in a matter of weeks recently. I feel a bit sad thinking about it, so I better get on with reading the new Harry Potter book instead. :]
Ooh heron found a friend! Excellent! Heh I hope I don’t make you feel like a photography sidekick too much; that almost sounds derogatory! As for photography excursions, we don’t usually do too many of those solely for that purpose but this year… who knows!
The concert was really good, well done. And yeh, things do seem to be finishing up. :/ Ah well, Harry Potter. You’re getting through it lightning fast! You’ll beat me to the end of it no doubt.
