It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…

And so begins another chapter in my life. Having only been in my current job for 6 weeks, I have been offered a new one which I am taking! I have only one more week left at my job and then it’s onward and upwards to better things (I hope). Having turned down the full time job at ‘The Wendy House’ (which I felt really guilty about because when I rang the woman to turn it down, bearing in mind I’d taken a whole week to decide, she sounded really sad and told me that I was the only person she had been considering for the job and when I mentioned that it was a bit too far to travel to Beaconsfield before I passed my test, she offered to get someone to take me to and from my house and work every day…) I have now accepted a job as a receptionist at a NHS Dental Practise in Amersham. It is more money than I’m earning now, although it is slightly longer hours (8:30- 5:30) but I think it’ll be a move in the right direction. I won’t have targets to make, which I do now and I think it will be altogether a less stressful job. How hard can it be? *laughs nervously*. Anyway, they must have like me to offer me the job.Other than that, not much is happening in my life right now. I have just booked theatre tickets for: Carmen, Aspects of Love and Private Peaceful which I’m sure I’ll be blogging about at some time or another when I’ve actually seen them.
We currently have our Circuit Overseer’s visit. A circuit is basically a collection of congregations in the area and there is one man and his wife that travels around all of them in his circuit giving general instruction and encouragement. We had a really moving, almost inspirational DVD shown to us on Thursday. It was only 20 minutes long but it was so inspiring that I was close to tears the whole way though. It was about the program we have to help those in countries with limited resources to build Kingdom Halls and have a respectable place to worship. I didn’t realise until then that we have 5 different regions that cover the whole world from Southern America to Eastern Europe an
Anyway…take care all of you…

Wow The Wendy House must really have wanted you! See, there are nice employers around after all! Dentist job, maybe you’ll learn about what all the mad things the Dentist says really mean! All those letter and numbers regarding teeth *opens wide* :U . Well, paperwork anyway. But it’s all good.
I knew the Witnesses did a lot of work abroad as well, but that’s a lot of halls built! I’ve seen similar footage although with Methodist churches, and the folks do seem overjoyed with the results, even if its just a stick and bamboo hut. Good work to be doing methinks.
Yay for you working at the dentist I used to go to! They are all very nice there
Ooh theatre tickets…this reminds me that I haven’t been to the theatre in ages. I think the English Society at Warwick go to plays at Stratford…maybe I should join! I hope you have fun when you go =] xxx
Sounds like you’ve been far far busier than me…
