Halloween in Oxford
Nov 1st, 2007 by frederickneeds
Might I just say that this has to have been the best Halloween in my life. The day started off well, I woke up late and missed a lecture, ran for the bus only to miss it, stumbled in late to my other lecture looking scary as Halloween dictates (but admittedly this was because I had literally just exhausted myself running and hadn’t had a shower for 2 days not because of any thought out costume) and then fell asleep. All was good.
Anyway, during the lectures fag break my lecturer came up to me and I introduced myself and said hello and everything that polite society expects. I think the conversation went something like this:
me: hello
stephen: hello, i’m stephen
me: i’m freddie
stephen: nice to meet you can I borrow your lighter?
me: sure
stephen: thanks – so what are you studying
me: psychology, i’m in your lecture group
stephen: oh. oh yeah i saw you near the back you should sit nearer the front so i can pick on you
me: erm, okay. i’m going to go and buy me some food to wake me up
stephen: see ya
And sure enough the sod did pick on me! He kept asking me questions and using me to demonstrate his points and now everyone thinks i’m a teachers pet! Anyway, back to Halloween. After my lecture I stumbled home – well not home but in to some random russians bedroom. Russians are very odd people – they seem all doom and gloom and serious and like nothing you are is quite good enough but then suddenly for no apparent reason decide to flirt with a smile only to become serious again. Anyway, the russians dressed me up as a mouse and plied me with vodka and got me quite pissed. So i went home to borrow Justins (my housemate) tie to go clubbing and then a group of about 12 of us made our way down to the bus stop. Apparantly everyone else that lives here had the same idea because when we got to the bus stop there were literally hundreds of people. So we waited an hour for our turn for a bus and then descended on the OC, a very odd little club in Oxford City.
It was cool there.
The End
if anyone is wondering why it ends abruptly it’s because so does my memory! I woke up with bruises on my arms and a very hurt leg so now i can’t walk properly. Apparantly i fell over on the dancefloor.
so yeah, forgot to add that
Hehe, I’m glad you had a good Halloween. We didn’t really do much last night since our Union Halloween Ball was on Saturday, so it was a bit like Halloween had already happened.
Teacher’s pet :U
What a strange lecturer! Glad you had a good, if slightly unmemorable, Halloween party :3
