I be a workin man

Well today I started my new job and it is awesome!!
Basically I now work in the QC department of a food technology lab called synergy in high wycombe i’m not sure how much detail i’m allowed to go into given the secrecy contracts I’ve signed but suffice to say the work ain’t bad and the place  is awesome, smelly, but awesome (flavourings stink. Fact). So far my work has been moving paper since but that might change soon.
Unfortunately there have been some bad points. The main one is that i need to get up at 5:30 a.m. in order to catch the bus to get me to work which also means i’ve started going to bed at 10:00 p.m. for the first time in years (i feel so immature). Other than that no major gripes.
What startled me was the speed at which this has happened. Basically i learned of the job on Wednesday, I was interviewed on Thursday and was offered the job on Friday to start working today (monday). As a result i only handed in my 2 weeks notice to waitrose on Sunday so for the next 2 weeks i’m working 7 days a week (except for 2 days up at Sheffield for a open day)Â
Other than that not much has really been happening to me (there hasn’t been time).

5:30am? No job is worth that. It’s not even a real time. Synergy also sounds like the sort of evil corporation that would unleash a zombifying virus upon the world. I hear it has ties with Umbrella.
That being said, glad you’ve found a job which suits you and what you enjoy. :3
congrats with the job. with signing the secrecy thing, does that mean that you work with top secret governmental stuff, or just that the company doesnt want you blabbing about their food flavourings. i have to say i agree with john, very much. i also highly disagree with 9am lectures!! honestly, who’s idea was that!?!?!

Ooh, congrats on the job! 7 days a week and a 5.30am start don’t sound like my cup of tea, but at least the 7 days thing will be ending soonish. Good luck with it all!
I’m still confused about what your job actually involves…if it’s something to do with food standards I’m really jealous as that’s partly what I wanted to do (many moons ago)!! I wish you the very best with it!

to clarify
i work in the QC department of a FOOD TECHNOLOGY LAB we check all the stuff that is going out to make sure its of the proper quality (i.e. not deadly) that our clients demand and that is required by law. I’m not allowed to divulge any info on clients and i’m not sure about the specific products but basically we test flavourings.
See no zombies involved. Well none that i’ve seen the actual labs where they create new stuff is upstairs and traditionally zombies are created underground.
