Back in Cambridge and looking forward…

Because looking behind you is just silly.
I’m all moved in now, you might get some photos soon, but you’ve already seen most of what’s to see about the house in previous postings. My room is just as lilac as it was before and at night I’m bathed in the gentle glow of orange sodium lamps. Soothing. Posters have yet to go up to cover the walls. I opened my wardrobe earlier and the side panels fell away outwards, a rather comical event which has taught me to open doors slower in this house. Still, better than the drawer in the kitchen which you can’t open because a door handle is in the way! Who knows what’s inside.
Making the room more my own and looking forward to everyone else being here too and the course starting.
One of the more major points of this blog then is: I’m going to buy some tickets to see Hamlet in London in December. This would be the Hamlet with David Tennant in, and others like Patrick Stewart. I’ll be buying a few tickets on Friday for a performance some time between the 15th – 21st December. I know Mima and family were also thinking of going at some point, any news on possible dates on that front? Just throwing out the idea if anyone else wanted me to pick up a ticket for them when I book ^^
Otherwise I hope everyone is winding up to university well, and various other courses / work related things.
No more interesting news from my neck of the woods in the slightest I’m afraid! Hasn’t the weather been grim recently! I look forward to picnic-ing weather before Winter comes and snows all over us.
Oh! Of course, another major thing then. Who wants to come and see little old me in Cambridge? We can go punting and dance in the rain and the puddles. If a date can be agreed on then so much the better. Any time is fine for me. Somewhere between the 13th-21st September? Hope that’s not too short notice or anything. I can understand if people can’t come though, travel costs are not exactly cheap and things are getting busy this month.
Ttfn
Yay for moving in and sorting the new room  I had lots of fun making photo collages in mine ^^
I know Genny and Briony and probably Michael would all love to see Hamlet so I think I’m gonna ask them, and if you buy tickets for you and your parents then maybe you can lemme know the date and if it’s a goodun for the warwick lot then it would be snazzy to go on the same day! Yesh yesh
Eep I didn’t realise the Cambridge trip was going to be so soon, I might have to see how my reading goes and how the bank balance is holding out and get back to you :buck:
Hope the weather improves your end :U
Arr I shall shout what dates, but it sounds like the Adam and Mima crew will be going later in the year, January time. And I’m not even sure if the parents want to go yet, we’ll see what happens. I’ll be booking at least one ticket!
p.s. If those dates for cambridge are no good for anyone we can always postpone to later in this year / when the weather is better next :]
Indeeeeeeeed, it would be a shame to visit the ‘bridge and not get a chance to go punting because of the soggy weather!
Update: Good job noone wanted me to book them tickets for Hamlet! They sold out, 6000 tickets, in just 3 hours! Madness! The only tickets left now are ones you have to queue up on the day for. But with only 25 tickets reserved for that I imagine there’ll be people camping outside every night to get their hands on some; especially as tickets (from a legitimate source) are now selling at £300 each! This must truly be Sparta :<
My vote for Cambridge visitation goes to later on…not going to have much in the way of free time in the near future, alas.
Quite a bummer about the tickets. And damnit, I don’t even care that Dr. Who is in it
as you may all tell i’m an avid internet user. i think various shindigs at various people’s houses throughout various times of the year would be mad, but sorry john, nows not the easiest time with the getting stuff together to go back to uni.
