JOB!! (with added nuns.)
May 28th, 2010 by Rosie
I HAVE A JOB!!!! After an epic year of job hunting I have finally found one. I will be a trainee auditor, clearly the coolest kind of bureaucrat. I am in a specialist team that only deals with the not for profit sector. That means that a large amount of the people I will work with are nuns, NUNS!!! I have been told that nuns are lovely but not always great at understanding finance. On the down side this has signed me up for another three years of exams. Working and studying at the same time sounds intense but hopefully it won’t be tooo stressful. The job is in London so not bad for meet ups (Especially you Tim, I will hunt you down.), but I will probably live in St Albans and join the army of commuters.
BUT before all that I still have my exams to get through. The first one is tomorrow (so I am currently procrastinating) but I am lucky enough to only have 3 and so finish on June 7th. Then freeedom!!, well until August.
I better get back to cramming.
P.S can someone forward me Robyn’s wedding photos, my email is rosie.day@tiscali.co.uk
ooh conga-rats on the job! that sounds great! and I know a couple of people in st albans, seems like it would be a nice place to live :]
gooooood luck for the rest of your exams D:
I’ll forward you the wedding photos. xx
Nuns! Nuns! Nuns!
And commuting. It’s all so grown-up. Glad you’ve managed to find a job and I hope the exams are going ok! Hopefully you’ll be around for a weekend coffee meet at some point!
Working and studying can be tricky! I will be so glad when my course is over later in the year. It’s been a manic start to the year for me- working 5 days a week, college once a week, exams and keeping house (something I was a virtual stranger to at home!) But luckily I’ve had Damian to help. Do you know who you will be living with in St. Albans or will you have you own place?
Hope the exams went well!
I will be living with my boyfriend, Laurence in St. Albans. He has a job close to mine in London. I am very surprised how close we managed to find jobs, but that was why we went for London. A new blog will follow when we have found a house.
Congratulations on the job. How did the exams go?
Hey Rosie, congrats on the job, although auditing? you poor thing…(I’m kidding, I’m sure you’ll be one of the few vibrant ones without a humour bypass-ours were awful.)
Best of luck with exam results, if you haven’t already got one and with finding a house.
nuns you say? awesome….
