- Freddie Clarke was born on May 20th 1989, the second and last child of Jane and Michael Clarke. The unusual name of Tissington placed his mother in a distinctive family tree of English gentry, far from rich but determinedly upper-middle-class in the peculiar sense of the English class system. However, Freddie lies in the middle of his mother and father. Neither a common grease monkey, nor an upper-class snob. Indeed, he is now a student and as such incorporates the worst qualities of both classes in to his lifestyle.
