Hi everybody I’m feeling a tad guilty about not writing anything here….. at all……. for about 4 months. But hey here I am now and that’s all that matters right?

Well with that out of the way onto the blog firstly I would like to start by saying UNI IS AWESOME! man I had no idea it would be this much fun. The constant clubbing, drinking and wandering the streets at ridiculous hours looking for a kebab is great and somehow I still managed to reach the top 20% in my year for both of our last exams (honestly i’m freaked out and kinda confused as to why some people here are uber nerds while I sleep through lectures). Still Christmas has so far been a big slow down for me I just can’t seem to focus on doing any work but hey i’m sure that’ll sort itself out in the end. Plus medicine is fun so far i’ve learned how to sew up wounds, take blood pressure with a stethoscope and . . . wash my hands (seriously there’s a 7 stage process involved). But on the plus side in the new year we get to start dissections on real human corpses yay.

Other than me being at uni, which has more stories than I can honestly be arsed to write down, not much has really happened to me since I got back from australia. Still I was kinda sad to see that I missed the meet-up on the 19th but I guess its my own stupid fault for not reading whasblog so are there any plans to meet up in the new year or even any new year celebrations that you are all attending ?

Oh and if anything is bieng planned I won’t be around from the 9th because me and a bunch of rowers are dressing up like Spartans and getting drunk for 3 days straight.

And finally Merry Christmas everyone .

Hello again everyone.

Well now I have found myself in bryon bay australia and find that there is only 2 days till I find my way back home which is kinda depressing but hey time to regail you all with tales of australia. Since I last blogged i’ve been down much of the east coast (to my mind the most fun part of australia). We started in cairns a name that will be well known to any who even considered backpacking in australia but to those who didn’t Cairns is a party town its a must for any and all travellers and needless to say I had a great time and totally pissed (I also happened to be wearing a glitter wig, sparkly clothes and fluorescent body paint but that’s another story). Still when I wasn’t drunk I have been snorkeling and scuba diving over the great barrier reef which is incredible. I went white water rafting which also involved just jumping out and floating down the rapids plus at one point an intentional capsize. I’ve jumped out of planes above mission beach and ran off cliffs at byron bay. I’ve been a cowboy and hearded horses, fed calves, milked cows and failed to drive a dirt bike. I have also found a tropical paradise on morton island and been sandborading in the same place while wearing a croc (read man-thong), a scarf, some flying goggles and not much else.

And now my time and memory have run out see you all soon.

Hey everyone after about 3 days solid driving we have arrived in cairns its kinda bittersweet though as we now only have about 2 weeks left in oz. Still onto the positive since I talked to you last I have been bungy jumping in the middle of a rainforest (btw i’m still wet from the dip in the water) and found heaven in a small camp site. Since the bungy jumping speaks for itself i’ll expand on the camp site. Firstly you’ll have to understand by that point we had been camping for aproximately 2 weeks and most of that had been bush camping aka pull up in the middle of nowhere and your toilet is a shovel and some bog roll anyway this place had soft ground (untill then it had been rocks) but more importantly huge comfy chairs with a cinema like TV, wonderful warm apple pie and most importantly a whole evening drinking as much as you liked for $10 (5 pounds) needless to say I had a great time and even better no hangover. Oh and the guy had loads of snakes that he let us hold other than that its mostly been driving. Still from now on its beaches, sky diving, white water rafting and more civilization.

See you all soon!

Well G’day everybody I’m now back once again in Alice springs after a brief journey down to uluru aka Ayers rock. Safe to say it was a fairly awesome event and it does look spectacular even more so up close (I was put in mind of when we visited the pyramids all those years ago). However I should also note that it is bloody freezing down here which I suppose I should have expected given both the season and the location but I intend to complain nonetheless. Whats surprised me is that this hasn’t even been the highlight of the trip merely one of many amazing events that have occurred while I have been travelling.

Well thats about all I can think of right now I promise to have photos for you all as soon as I feel the inclination.

Oh and since you all seem to keep asking I am not sunburned. I have managed to go this entire trip (so far)Â without being sunburned thanks to the application of vast amounts of sunblock (which has meant other members of the group can identify me by smell alone) still now I am over 2/3 of my way through australia I expect I shall see you all soon.

So what have I been doing recently? Well looking back I swum with a dolphin, dived into fresh water pools in gorges, been snorkeling over coral and swum near the sharks, i’ve been covered in so much red dust it looked like I had a tan and probably many more things I can’t remember just now still i’ve got a free day now to wander around doing sod all and probably dozing in a hammock under a palm tree next to a pool. Life is so tough sometimes. Still tomorrow we’ll all be leaving and pretty much going by the same route they took in wolf creek so talk to you all soon if i’m still alive.

Hello everybody and warmest greetings from Australia I’m currently writing this in a hostel in Perth. It’s on day 15 of my trip in Australia and so far I have pretty much seen the entire southern coast of Australia. I’ve been stunt flying, climbed a 75m tree to the top with no climbing gear, stroked a wild kangaroo, been to many, many beaches, slept with a wombat, explained the term spit roast (with diagram) to a Japanese girl and drunk vast quantities of a Australian beverage known as goon (that’s all i can remember at the moment). The weather varies from English winter to summer and for the past few days we’ve essentially driven through a really nasty storm (pictures will be up soon) still right now its sunny and its only going to get sunnier as we head north. All my photos are on facebook and hopefully i’ll see all you guys when i get back.

Bye

It’ll be a very informal affair just all of us hanging out, watching movies playing fussball and ordering pizza.

Well looks like its been ages since my last blog so I guess it’s high time to let you all know about me.

Firstly some old but still kinda important news I finally passed my driving test with a massive 2 minors and am now the proud owner of a manly pink liscence in all its holographic glory.

Lately (as in today, weds 28th) there has been some more good news. I quit my job! and with all of one days notice! So from now on I am just a good-for-nothing layabout free to drink and party to my heart’s content (more likely my liver’s failure) or I would be if I wasn’t going in for surgery tomorrow ( thurs 29th) i’ll tell people what for if they ask me (weirdos) but otherwise it aint really the kinda thing I want to tell the whole internet. Regardless for the next two weeks i shall be recovering which essentially means lying in bed watching tv till my brain drips out my ears.

Fortunately the 2 weeks mandatory recovery will be over the day before my birthday which brings me nicely onto my next point:

WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO FOR MY BIRTHDAY?! (saturday june 14th)

Simply put I have no idea what i’m going to do, who is available and who still likes me enough to turn up. Still I was thinking we should all meet up again but what we do then i’m still not sure about we could all go out for a film/bowling and a meal afterwards or we could all sit in a park and laugh at strangers, I don’t mind.

Any ideas/ suggestions would be appreciated since I am boh unimaginative and lazy

See you all soon!

Well its finally sinking in that i’m going to UCL for the next 6 years of my life but they’re not making it easy. My entry is still conditional despite me already having the grades to get in. I have also had to go get a blood test and get immunised against Hep B.

Firstly the blood test was fun since i spent half an hour wondering up and down gower street (in London) before realising the place I was meant to go was down some stairs then along this subterranean pavement to the actual clinic. Then before I could even get the blood test the fire alarms went off an we all had to be evacuated and were only allowed to go back in once the fire brigade had checked every building nearby. To be fair they were actually fairly quick and it was kinda cool being surrounded by all the flashing lights and sirens. However what wasn’t fun was standing outside in the cold which turned my hands to their freakish purple/orange blotchy state. When I actually got to see the blood test doctor he got a bit freaked out and told me i might have some kind of hereditary illness usually only found in women (i can already see the jokes). So now I have to take even more time off to go see my GP about my freaky hands bleh.Â

I’m also going over the accomodation stuff for UCL though it seems kinda weird they give you a big brochure on all the different places to stay then on the application form itself it only allows you to pick what aspects you might like the most. Plus come easter i get to go over that big finance pack you guys all did last year which looks like tonnes of fun.

And that about sums up my life at the moment.
